The 1879 ten dollar bill Refunding certificate is a rare and strange instrument.
They are pretty, with the blue end paper and the black scroll work calling back to the 1878
silver certificates. They aren't common so they bring decent price when they sell.
A nice example can be had for around 1k while perfect notes will sell for several thousand.
